Concordia University Student Event Highlights Olymbec
Olymbec was featured in a real estate conference hosted by a student run organization.
Olymbec was overjoyed to sponsor and be featured in an event hosted by Concordia University’s Real Estate Club on Thursday, October 24th, 2019. The student-run association is known for hosting conferences and case competitions revolving around the real estate industry that are open to all university students in Montreal. Olymbec was invited to speak at Portus 360 restaurant at their latest ‘CRECtalk’; a workshop style conference that allows students to interact with professionals.
A dozen employees from Olymbec’s Montreal head office attended the conference to relay to students how Olymbec manages practically everything in-house, making it a vertically integrated company. Each employee talked about his career and provided students with insights about his current profession at Olymbec. From acquisitions to leasing, marketing to IT, finance to legal, and much more, attendees learned the ins and outs of essential departments in real estate.
Set at the beautiful Portus 360 restaurant, students and professionals sat together at round tables allowing for a variety of questions and open discussions. Our employees rotated from table to table, enabling every attendee to have the opportunity to interact with all guest speakers and hear from each department present. Afterwards, the floor was opened to a networking cocktail so that students could engage in one-on-one conversations with professionals and ask them their last questions.
In summary, Olymbec is proud to have participated in providing such an enriching experience to young students eager to learn and begin their professional careers. We thank Concordia Real Estate Club for involving us in this event and we hope to collaborate again in the near future.
