Olymbec USA’s Month of Giving 2019

This year, Olymbec USA organized a month of giving to help those in need in different ways. Each week, an event was held benefiting a charity. All employees and tenants of our buildings were welcome to participate to create a larger impact. The results from our charity movements were incredible and it would not have been possible without everyone’s collaboration.

Our first event honoured Dress for Success Memphis whose mission is to empower women and provide them with tools to thrive in their professional careers. We collected donations of new or gently used professional clothing at our office. All items have been donated to the foundation and will benefit women across the city.

Afterwards, we hosted a blood drive where participants could stop by during their workday and donate blood. Vitalant, one of the nation’s oldest and largest non-profit community blood service providers, services nearly 1 000 hospitals and health care partners in 40 states.

With the help of many employees, we held a bake sale where all proceeds were donated to the St-Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We are proud to announce that we raised $281.44 that will go towards advancing cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.

Lastly, our employees collected food items at our office to donate to the Memphis Food Bank. The charity’s goal is to change lives by eliminating hunger in the Mid-South. All the food that we collected will be given to families, children and seniors in need in Memphis.
