Service & Maintenance Technician- Fire Safety (Evening Shift)

Our Olymbec family has been growing as well, which brings us to our recent opening at Olymbec, for a position of service and maintenance technician. At Olymbec, all our workers work on job sites all year round. This position not only answers emergency calls during the work shift but is also given tasks for the maintenance and upgrade of our fire protection equipment. Although this position requires a great level of autonomy, the tasks are integrated into an entire team's projects, which makes this position unique. One of the benefits of working this position is that it is outside of rush hours.
Here are some more details pertaining to the position:
Tasks:
- Emergency response to building locations for after hours support
- Installation of temporary intrusion alarm systems
- Fire/Intrusion System trouble shooting
- Site surveys - equipment, project status
- Fire Alarm / Intrusion System installations
- Minor repairs (building envelope, fire protection systems, sprinkler replacement)
- Manage building equipment (inspection, test & maintenance)
- Installation of building signage
- Installation of barricades
- Confirmation of site security, building security
Inspection of buildings systems, equipment, and processes:
- Emergency lighting
- Fire Extinguishers
- Hot Work Permits
- System Impairment Permits
Competencies:
- Building Systems

- Able to deal with stressful situations and individuals
Job Type: Full-time, permanent; Monday through Friday 2:15 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.
Salary: $25 to $30 per hour
